When emojis became a thing, people started using them on Facebook to express themselves better or make their posts attractive.
One of the popular emojis that Facebook users use is the peace sign, and there are two: the peace symbol that was used for the campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in 1958 ☮️ and the two fingers peace sign ✌️.
Whichever you want to use, there are four ways to make a peace sign on Facebook.
You can press
Alt + 9774 on your keyboard, if you want to use ☮. For other peace signs, go to your emoji keyboard and find the peace sign you want to use, use the built-in emoji keyboard if you are using a Windows computer by pressing the
Windows logo + the period, or search for “Peace Sign Emoji” on Google and copy and paste it into your post.
There is no alt shortcut for the two fingers peace sign at the moment.
The dove bird is also a symbol of peace, so you can use that instead of the two mentioned above. You will find a dove emoji 🕊️ on your emoji keyboard, but you can also use Google if you want to. Just type “Dove Emoji” in the search bar.
How To Make a Peace Sign on Facebook
Peace signs don’t necessarily mean that there’s some fight going on and you want to make peace with the other person.

Regardless, here are the different ways to make a peace sign on Facebook.

The “Alt” key on a computer keyboard is used mainly for symbols. If you press “Alt” and hold it as you press other keys, you can produce a symbol. Each symbol has its own “code”.
As for the peace sign, the code is 9774. So if you want to make a peace sign on Facebook using your computer keyboard, press Alt + 9774, and it will appear.
If it doesn’t work, try using the number keys on the right side of the keyboard instead of the ones above the letter keys.
Note that Alt + 9774 is the code for ☮ peace symbol. At the moment, there isn’t an alt shortcut for the two fingers peace sign, but you will be able to find it on your emoji keyboard.
