Liking a tweet on Twitter is pretty straightforward. Follow the steps below to like a tweet:
- Open Twitter and log in to your account. The Twitter home page will display multiple tweets from the people you follow and the tweets your followers like.
- Scroll to the tweet that you want to like.
- Click on the empty heart icon at the bottom right of a tweet. The white heart will turn red once you like the Tweet.

Every time you like a tweet, the original author of the tweet will be notified about your like on the tweet. If you like a tweet retweeted without a quote, then the person who retweeted the tweet and the original author of the tweet will be notified about your like.
