How to Install Microsoft DOS 6.22

Friday, October 28, 2011

MS-DOS, short for Microsoft Disk Operating System, is a non-graphical command line operating system created for PC compatible computers. MS-DOS was first introduced by Microsoft in 1981. MS-DOS 6.22 was released in 1994. MS-DOS is not commonly used today. However, command line, a.k.a. the "DOS" prompt, is still widely used in today's Microsoft Operating Systems.

The MS-DOS Operating System can still be loaded on x86 Intel Systems. MS-DOS 6.22 requires very little memory and hard disk space. You can add additional drivers for things such as CD-ROM, Network Support, and more.
